Capacity Building MINIGRANTS
Open to grantee partners only
PFF offers supplemental capacity building support to grantee partners through our minigrant opportunities. We believe that our grantee partners strengthen their work and impact when they have the opportunity to learn together, collaborate, and problem solve around internal organizational challenges as well as responding to direct community needs.
We offer four types of minigrants:
The purpose of the minigrant is to provide additional support outside your primary organizational grant to engage in peer-to-peer learning with other youth organizing and youth-led social change groups in Connecticut or across the region.
What Funds Cover: Expenses such as transportation, food, supplies and meetings costs.
Request Amount: Up to $500.
The purpose of the minigrant is to provide opportunities for the youth leaders and adult staff of our grantee partners to attend trainings and conferences associated with organizational development, skill building, and organizing.
What Funds Cover: Conference/training registration, travel, and accommodations.
Request Amount: Up to $3000
The purpose of the minigrant is to provide support to PFF grantee partners to work in collaboration on a shared youth-led project, initiative, or action. To be eligible, efforts must include at least 2 organizations in the PFF grantee network.
What Funds Cover: transportation, food, supplies, meeting expenses, and planning costs.
Request Amount: Up to $5000
The purpose of the minigrant is to provide additional support to a grantee partner (outside of their primary organizational grant) in order to cover the successful execution of targeted work with a qualified technical assistance provider. The minigrant’s main aims are to enhance the organization’s efforts to develop the collective leadership of young people, strengthen youth-led social change initiatives at the organization, and improve the organization’s overall structure and sustainability.
What Funds Cover: Costs associated with hiring a consultant.
Request Amount: Up to $5000
Please Note:
- Minigrant opportunities are supplemental to our major grant awards and each minigrant has a focus area and award limit.
- Minigrant requests are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but funds are limited and we are not able to meet all requests.
- All requests must be submitted 3-4 weeks in advance and approved ahead of time.
- Please contact Program Officer, Amarilis Pullen for additional information on the minigrant application process.
