Stay tuned for the launch of the new site in April 2018.

Our Mission

Perrin Family Foundation envisions a Connecticut where young people are vital leaders in creating safe, healthy and just communities.  Our mission is to partner with organizations based in under-resourced communities across Connecticut in order to create environments that support youth as leaders of social change.

What is Youth Led Social Change?

Youth led social change is a long-term process that builds the confidence, knowledge, skills and collective leadership of young people while addressing the root causes of injustice and equity in their lives and community.  You can learn more about youth led social change in Connecticut here.

Current Funding Opportunities

In the spring of 2018, the Perrin Family Foundation will be launching the next cohort of its Building Leadership and Organizing Capacity (BLOC) Initiative, a multiyear grantmaking and capacity building program designed to strengthen the efficacy and impact of youth organizing groups across the state and cultivate collaborative relationships and partnerships across organizing efforts in order to strengthen the movement for youth-led social change in Connecticut.  You can read more about BLOC here.  Application to the BLOC initiative is open to current PFF grantee partners and to other organizations by invitation from PFF.

PFF’s Collective Youth Leadership Development grant program is undergoing a shift in strategic focus and is not currently accepting new applications.

Please stay tuned for additional updates and more information on our general grantmaking programs once our new site is launched.
