Building community and nurturing relationships are foundational parts of creating momentum for social change. Beyond simply networking, genuine community can provide the laughter and love necessary for sustaining movements.
This past year, some exciting changes and growth have brought some new faces into our PFF community: we launched our second cohort of Building Leaders and Organizing Capacity (BLOC) as well as the first Critically Conscious Youth Development (CCYD) cohort. We have a new Strategy Council composed of youth and adult community members deeply invested in shaping our youth led social change work, and even a brand new office space.
Last June, The Perrin Family Foundation brought together grantee partners, youth, adults, and other members of the PFF community to celebrate the victories, transitions, and graduations that the summer brings. While activities like Human Bingo and a Photo Scavenger Hunt helped folks earn tickets towards some stellar raffle prizes, it also gave those in the room the opportunity to talk and connect. Scroll down to see some moments from a night of fun, foosball, and french fries.
